Time is only worth what we decide—  
Its value set by the hands of men,  
Measured out in bargains  
only the willing dare to make.

Can we pay enough  
to buy back dignity,  
to earn forgiveness  
for what we’ve done  
when the clock refused to wait?

Or is time always spent,  
never saved—  
its price,  
more than the willing can ever pay?
